Tom Reuland Appointed Chair of ISBA Committee

Reuland Law's founding attorney Tom Reuland was recently appointed to the Chair position of the Illinois State Bar Association's Committee on Disability Law.

Tom Reuland has been a dedicated member of the ISBA for years. With a legal practice concentrating on catastrophic personal injury cases and nursing home abuse and neglect matters, Mr. Reuland deals with the intersection of disability and personal injury law frequently in his Chicago-based practice at Reuland Law, LLC. He has previously served on various committees within the ISBA and other nonprofit advocacy groups, where he has demonstrated his commitment to community involvement and improving access to justice for individuals with disabilities. Mr. Reuland take pride in his collaborative approach and his ability to engage stakeholders in meaningful discussions about disability rights and legislation.

Goals for the Chair

As Chair of the Committee on Disability Law, Reuland will foster the core mission of the committee. Some of the central aims of the committee include:

• Enhance awareness of disability rights among legal professionals and the public.

• Develop educational resources and programs for judges, attorneys, and the public about how the law impacts people with disabilities.

• Analyze and advocate for legislative changes that support and protect the rights of individuals with disabilities.

• Foster partnerships with organizations that serve the disability community.

• Gather and generate resources that further the professional development and inclusion of attorneys and law students with disabilities.
